Homestake Adams Research and Cultural Center (HARCC)

Located in the National Historic Landmark City of Deadwood, and partially funded by the Deadwood Historic Preservation Commission, owned by the City of Deadwood, and operated by the Adams Museum (three separate stakeholders). The project consists of a two-phased repurposing of an existing warehouse structure to convert it into a research center. With invaluable and irreplaceable artifacts, security was of utmost concern in this design.  The world-class research facility includes meeting spaces, classrooms, library, research areas, and a kitchen. This project is an example of a former client of Lyle’s who sought his involvement from past project experience with the City of Deadwood and the Adams Museum & House Board of Directors, despite the distance to Deadwood from Casper.
